Other Services

Your journey with Xplore English doesn’t have to end once your tour is over. We also offer a number of additional services, which include online English classes and a volunteer programme.

After completing a ‘Learn and Travel’ package, you may still want to work on your conversational English skills. Sign-up for our follow-on tutor service and we will develop a tailor-made course to suit your specific needs. This English course will be delivered via an online teaching platform, such as Skype.

If you decide to sign-up for our online English tutor option, you will have the opportunity to discuss your requirements before departure. Together with your TEFL-qualified teacher, you can decide on a tutoring programme, online course material and a timetable.

During the online sessions, you will also be able to refer back to material covered as part of your tour, as well as travel experiences in South Africa.

Discover another side to South Africa by signing up for a volunteer programme after your tour. The Garden Route is home to a number of voluntourism opportunities, covering conservation, education and scientific research.

Conservation - Rescue marine birds in distress and assist with beached marine animals; be part of an alien tree removal or beach clean-up team

Education - Take part in junior school environmental education projects; educational entertainment events using your dance and acting skills; teaching English to under-privileged pre-school children

Research - Take fin profile photos of dolphins and whales; analyse river health; be part of a bird ringing team; get involved in database mapping of species distribution

You will have the opportunity to experience voluntourism first hand as part of our ‘Learn and Travel’ packages. However, should you be interested in volunteering for longer, we will be able to assist you with the application process for a placement with the organisation of your choice.
